I serve as AVAST’s Director of Strategy, helping to guide the technology evolution of the company and also providing outreach to the media and our user community. Prior to joining AVAST, I served for 11 years as Vice President at Forrester Research, where I had become one of the most renowned analysts covering the global security market. During my tenure at Forrester, I had authored over 200 research reports, spoken extensively on security market issues in many business and IT venues, and had helped to shape the technology and go-to-market strategies of the world’s leading security practitioners, solution vendors, and service providers.
I have been widely quoted throughout the years, in publications such as CSO Magazine, Information Security Magazine, the Financial Times, The Economist, and The New York Times, and I’ve appeared on National Public Radio and CNBC.
I received an M.S. in computer science from Stanford University in 1990 and a B.S. in mathematics from the University of Pennsylvania in 1986. Prior to being an analyst, I worked as an engineer and product manager for several high-tech companies in the Silicon Valley area.
